Playing with Fresh Flowers

One of the things that I really love to do and makes me soo happy, is playing with flowers! :)

While I’ve found out over the years that my most favorite way to arrange them is not arranging at all, and that their charm is highlighted when I simply and spontaneously put them in the vase exactly as I’ve picked them, every now and then I like having fun and making an arrangement… for a special celebration or “just because”!

This is another creative living idea that I want to share with you for Easter.

In this Easter centerpiece, I combined foraged elements and bought flowers, boiled quail eggs and naturally dyed eggs (find my tutorial here).

I lined one of my precious thrifted baskets with a piece of plastic, then cut florist’s sponge to measure, and soaked it in water. Then, I started inserting the flowers, ivy, and branches collected in the countryside.

I finished off with a bunch of asparagus wrapped with raffia, and eggs. I simply put them on top of the arrangement, without securing them in any way (they were stable enough).

Of course you can do this type of arrangement with foraged flowers only, if you prefer.

It’s a simple creative idea and activity that will give you a lot of satisfaction and JOY!
